Launching commercial space hopes.
Wallops Launch Complex and Horizontal Integration Facility

- Program Management
As commercial space continues to move full steam ahead, more launch complexes are becoming part of the national conversation. While Wallops Island has been in the launch business for many years, launching more than 16,000 aerial vehicles, increasing interest in Orbital Sciences Artares space craft continues to draw attention to this mid-Atlantic spaceport.
The new Launch Complex at Wallops Flight Facility was designed and constructed to include a horizontal integration facility where the stages of multistage rockets will be brought together before the assembled stack is rolled out to the launch complex and raised into vertical position for launch. This facility will also have a pre-engineered metal building structure with deep foundations, overhead cranes, and support areas. A launch pad complex with fuel farm, cryogenic liquids and high pressure gasses, heavy hydraulics, and controls is also part of new complex facilities.
Our team also designed launch pads 0A and 0B at Wallops over the past decade.
