MELBOURNE, FLORIDA - BRPH's design footprint continues to expand at Melbourne International Airport (MLB) with this week's grand opening of the highly anticipated Embraer Engineering and Technology Center USA, a 67,000 SF, $24 million facility that will house research and development for the company's executive jets division.
BRPH provided fully integrated project management, architectural design and construction administration services.
The high-tech engineering and R&D facility is located on the same site of Embraer's customer delivery and manufacturing facilities at MLB, which were both designed by BRPH. Expertise gained from master planning of the Embraer campus also played a role in our win of this latest project.
Project elements include an organic campus design, outdoor seating areas, cutting edge meeting spaces as well as technical elements such as prototype shops, production rooms for model assembly, and validation rooms for structural and avionics testing.
Embraer expects to hire up to 200 people to staff this new facility.RSS
