BRPH has been chosen to design a key component of Eastern Florida State College’s (EFSC) Melbourne campus extension plan, a new Student Union.
This building is expected be the hub of student activity on campus, drawing students, faculty and visitors alike.
The firm has partnered with Alex Wu, a nationally recognized expert on the design of student unions, to design this project. Based in Atlanta, Alex has successfully implemented a tried and tested planning process, “Forming a More Perfect Student Union,” on several campuses across the country.
This 27,000 square foot building will be a prominent structure on campus with space for a variety of student services, including student government, clubs and activities, computer, study and advising rooms and a food court. It will also house services for the school’s Career Planning and Development Center.
BRPH has provided architectural and engineering design services for numerous projects for EFSC, as individual projects and as part of continuing services contracts that date as far back as 1990. Other recent projects include the Public Safety Institute that opened in 2015 and the Health Sciences Institute that is currently under construction.RSS
